Rancho Mirage Library
Working with designs by Meyer, Scherer, and Rockcastle Architects, Ltd. in 2006, Josh created a donor wall of four images – a roadrunner, a ram, a tortoise, and a lizard. A rubber stamp was made of each design and impressed into wet clay tiles. Each tile was then glazed leaving the impressed design area unglazed. Over 50 donors contributed to the project to create this outdoor round staircase reading area. A project font was selected and each donor’s name was hand stamped into the clay, glazed by hand, then fired.
Clay Squared made some custom logo tiles and a mosaic piece for my office floor. Everyone who walks in the door falls in love with our floor.
