The Vermont Kitchen Backsplash
This Arts & Crafts backsplash has a monochromatic field of Pesto subway tile in a running bond pattern. The result creates a classic, “less is more” look, a fitting complement to the natural cabinets and ceramics collection. Using a variety of sizes adds texture to the space, allowing the subtle details of the variations in the glazes to add character.

We purchased handmade tile from Clay Squared for a backsplash in the tiny kitchen of our 1914 bungalow… but they look like they’ve been there all along. Fabulous!
Clay Squared did a great job of listening to what we wanted and interpreting it into something we love! The tile artwork they created is the highlight of our kitchen.
