Mid Century Modern Basketweave Kitchen
This homeowner used Mid-Century Modern to bring color and visual texture to the existing clean lines of their kitchen. Castle Building & Remodeling played with the basketweave design, turning it 45 degrees, giving the space a more quilted quality. The homeowner chose Carrot Cake as the primary color, adding four accent colors as inserts spread throughout the backsplash. Everyone seems to love how this installation came out. It really hits the Mid-Century Modern high notes!

We were interested in a unique design that we could create and didn’t want a “cookie cutter look” or tile from the big box stores. Josh and his staff were very helpful in guiding us to coordinate the color and style of our kitchen backsplash.

We purchased handmade tile from Clay Squared for a backsplash in the tiny kitchen of our 1914 bungalow… but they look like they’ve been there all along. Fabulous!
