Avocado Herringbone Backsplash
This kitchen is done in our Avocado 3″ x 8″ handmade tiles in a Herringbone Pattern, bringing light and fun to the space while still keeping it sophisticated.
Herringbone is a classic tile design dating back to the Roman period through the Middle Ages. The eye is drawn to the wide part of the “V” in the herringbone, and the pattern conjures an optical illusion that feels like a larger area. This tiled kitchen backsplash is done in our Avocado 3″ x 8″ handmade tiles, bringing light and fun to the space while still keeping it sophisticated.
We purchased handmade tile from Clay Squared for a backsplash in the tiny kitchen of our 1914 bungalow… but they look like they’ve been there all along. Fabulous!
