Coffee Cake on the Prairie Tiled Fireplace
Each of the Coffee Cake handmade tiles we made has a clipped corners in 4″ x 6″ to insert the accent tiles
While this fireplace looks quite simple, it has a lot of complexity in its design. Each of the Coffee Cake golden brown handmade tiles we made has a clipped corners in 4″ x 6″ to insert the accent tiles or to turn corners. The Pesto green trim was custom notched to fit the accents in so the tile setter did not have to cut any of the tiles for the installation. Motawi Tiles were chosen for the art tile accents. For the hearth we made large 12″ x 12″ and 10″ x 12″ tiles to give the feeling of some weight to the overall piece and let the design do all of the talking.
