Turtle and Cat's Journey

I was flipping through art books one day when an image that had a swoop of tall grass along the side caught my eye and stuck in my head until I created this piece.  I like to imagine what kind of journey Cat and Turtle have had up to this point and just why they are trying to find the hoop jumping fish.  Last summer my daughter was traveling with me when she insisted I tell a story- I thought of this piece and made up a crazy story about Ms. Cat who wanted to find hoops to fit on Whale's teeth so she could be a whale orthadontist. 

There are hidden fairy houses in the grass.
