East Side Coop Commission
This steel and mosaic carrot sculpture is installed at the Eastside Food Co-op at 26th and Central Avenue NE in Minneapolis, MN. It was designed by Clay Squared to Infinity.
A collaborative artistic effort, Dirk DuBois constructed the steel frame while Sheryl Tuorila designed and set the mosaic tiles in the sculpture. Handmade ceramic tiles from Clay Squared (made by Josh Blanc and Greg Good), and handmade glass tiles by FK Art Glass adorn the 10-foot tall carrot.
Daucus Carota is even featured at the Carrot Museum.

Clay Squared made some custom logo tiles and a mosaic piece for my office floor. Everyone who walks in the door falls in love with our floor.

Great experience working with Clay Squared! Responsive and helpful. They had the foresight to add tile pieces that hadn’t occurred to me or the tile setter, which ended in a great finished product. Thanks!
