It is hard to fathom that Clay Squared to Infinity was started 20 years ago in the 3rd story of our Minneapolis home at the time. Layl was making painted suitcases, dolls, and Wingy Dingies and she was just starting to play with polymer clay. Now she is internationally known for her polymer Milliefore work.

In 1996 Josh created a 10'x 10' studio in the attic and had just finished up an Architectural Tile Making class from Tile artist Carrie Esser at the Anderson Ranch in Colorado. He was experimenting with the first Medieval Floral tiles and what would later become his signature Cosmic Clouds and Spots. It was a time before internet and iphones. Josh was still working at the Walker Art Center as a Guard for $5.25 per hour. What did we have to lose by trying to start our own art businesses? Clearly we had everything to gain. We have never regretted our decision to pursue our art dreams. We want to thank all of you who have supported us by purchasing our work, showing up to our gallery openings and advising us through the years. We could not have done it without everyone.
