Sunday, June 10, 2pm: Spring Tea Tasting
Tea is a perennial pleasure, but spring brings the most prized leaves of the year. As the weather warms,
tea bushes put all of their energy in new buds, yielding fresh and flavorful brews. Join us as we sample
early growth teas from China, Japan, and India.
Includes sampling of spring 2018 harvest teas from Michael’s tea collection and light snack.

Instructor Bio:
Michael Masaru Flora is a Yonsei tea teacher based in Minneapolis. Michael grew up drinking tea and
studied Cha Dao “The Way of Tea” for 7 years with Roy Fong in San Francisco, CA. He has hiked through
the mountains of Yunnan (often considered the "homeland of tea"), drank tea in Sichuan's famous
teahouses, and visited the tea gardens of Darjeeling. For over 15 years, he has led workshops, classes,
and tea ceremonies. He currently is studying Japanese tea ceremony with Jim Hermann and enjoys
sharing his passion for tea with others.
